Siam University has established and participated in sustainability networks both in Thailand and internationally. We are the first private university to become a member of SUN Thailand (Sustainable University Network of Thailand) in 2016 and were accepted to be a member of the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) of Central Thailand in 2018. Internationally, we are the first private university accepted as a member of the United Nation Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) since April 19, 2021. We also actively participate in International Association of Universities (IAU), especially the Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development (HESD) working group. Siam University is also the only Thai signatory university of the landmark Magna Charta Universitatum (Great Charter of Universities) or MCU2020 endorsed by the Magna Charta Observatory (MCO). In addition, we are the co-founder of the ACD (Asia Cooperation Dialogue) University Network (ACD-UN). In 2024, Siam University was accepted as a member of SDG Accord and ISCN (International Sustainable Campus Network). Our latest initiative is the MOU with the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) to join the Pilot Project on Greening with Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), under the Framework of South-South University Cooperation Network (SUCN) co-launched by IESALC and the United Nations Office of South-South Cooperation as a Leader University.
Our dedication to sustainability was evidenced by international rankings. We have been top ten of the country for 6 consecutive years since 2017 and was classified in the “gold ranking” level for 4 consecutive years since 2020. In the latest 2023 rankings, Siam University was ranked 76th World Sustainable University (out of 1,183 universities), 29th of Asia (out of 687 universities), 5th Thai university (out of 55 universities), and 1st among 6 private universities. It is our pride to be ranked 1st of Thailand and 16th in the world in Education and Research. Our achievement was shown in the table.

Siam University is the first private university to submit data in the 2021 THE Impact Rankings and was ranked 301-400 in the world (out of 1,118 universities). The number of Thai universities increased from 25 to 51 in 2022, 65 in 2023 and 77 institutions in 2024. Siam University is ranked 1st among Thai private universities until present despite the fact that we were ranked 801-1,000 globally (1,406 universities from 106 countries in 2022 and 1,591 universities from 112 countries in 2023). In 2024, we were ranked 1001-1500 in the world (out of 2,152 universities from 125 countries).
