Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Proportion of Graduates with Teaching Qualification
Graduate School of Education offers programs in Master of Education (Leadership and Innovation in Educational Administration) and Doctor of Philosophy (Educational Administration Innovation). According to the Office of Registration, as of September 22, 2021, the school has the total number of 134 students (29 in M.A. program and 105 in Ph.D. program). Almost all of our students are currently working in basic educational institutions. Hence, we can say that they are qualified teachers with teacher's licenses.
Provision of Lifelong Learning Opportunities
Wisdom is the seed for the Future
Lifelong learning access is stipulated in section 39.8 of the present 2021 Code of Ethics of Siam University that lifelong learning is valued. This statement is complied with the practices of the university that has an intention to provide open access for all, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability or gender. Flexible learning has been provided to the students and public even before the Covid-19. However, after the first wave of pandemic in 2020, the University provides Microsoft Team as an official learning platform to ensure that all students can access to learning anytime, anywhere, any place. Our faculty members, staff and students have access to use the computer room and can borrow notebook or PC from the university. These measures are very beneficial during the second wave of the pandemic since only online learning is offered.
The two libraries of Siam University are accessible to public. All can access the main library through the website, Face page, and Twitter. Two types of e-book from EBSCO's databases, e-Books Academic Collection and e-Books Clinical Collection, are available for all (visit e-library.siam.edu (@siamulib) | Twitter). The main library also provides convenient small study rooms and co-working spaces with plenty of computers and notebooks. The Maruey Library, named after Dr. Maruey Phadungsit former Deputy Minister of Finance and CEO of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, provides learning resources mainly in business and finance. These two libraries are the main attraction for the visitors of the University and they regularly organized series of lectures and training for anyone interested. Usually, a well-known scholars and prominent figures are invited. During the pandemic in 2020-2021, Siam University has initiated the “Strong Siam” application as a platform for the SU family and those interested. This application can be downloaded through play store of the mobile phone. It is user-friendly and can link to the resources of the main library. As for online learning, the Information Technology Center is the main administrator and facilitator for computers and technological facilities (visit https://it.siam.edu/)
Recently, on June 17, 2021, the President of Siam University who is also the President of Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand has signed an agreement with the Office of SMEs Promotion to use “SME Academy 365” as an E-Learning Platform to offer an online program and training for approximately 200,000 new-blood entrepreneurs (https://mgronline.com/smes/detail/9640000058666)

The participants were also required to submit their online teaching video clip to make sure that the students will benefit from these initiatives.
Learning Events for the Public
Despite Covid-19 pandemic, Siam University has undertaken our educational outreach activities beyond campus - in local schools, in the community, and in international arena. In addition to series of lecture and conference, the university has participated in the MHESI’s U-School Mentoring Project for some time. This project involves higher education to assist teachers in their local schools at basic education level with the hope to improve their quality of education. This year, we provide the schools with knowledge and skills in the new normal age.
