Message from the President

Higher education around the world has been affected by the Covid-19 for years. The world will not be the same after the pandemic. However, this truly disruptor has made us appreciate the value of collaborations among universities, public and private sectors and communities both within and among countries. We also have witnessed the good-will of people in creating many innovations for education and learning as well as for the better living of people. Siam University takes this opportunity to reinvent our university to become a leading institution creating innovation for sustainable future. In doing so, the value of sustainable development has been integrated into the 3 pillars of university - “Employability”, “Diversity”, “Sustainability”. Despite campus locked down, many initiatives have been supported in order to follow our mission in developing university campus as the sustainable model and sustainable living labs. Over years, our campus has been promoted as a testbed for new ideas and innovations for the wellbeing of people, community, society, and our Planet with the hope that we will be a strong engine in helping the world accomplishing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

This sustainability report is a compilation of our activities and efforts in relation to the 17 SDGs from the second semester of academic year 2020 until present. Many activities have been carried on via online but we have tried our best to serve our students, staff, and communities. We hope that this report will be a useful sharing resource for all who are committed to make a better world.
