Element of green building implementation
The Golden Jubilee or 19-floor building of Siam University has been awarded as “a MEA energy saving building” from Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand since 2015. This building is the main building for administrative offices and classrooms. It also has an auditorium, meeting rooms, and a small library which are used for many activities such as meeting, conference, as well as learning and teaching. The building was intentionally planned and constructed with elements of green building. Our green building implementation consists of 2 elements: (1) natural ventilation for air circulation and (2) full-day natural lighting for daily source during the day time. Moreover, building energy managers responsible for energy management for this building and others in the university are assigned.
